Ive got some dvd-backups in divx3.11 2000bit 192kps 640x480, using virtual dub, what should i use to get better quality? can i do a 2nd pass with xvid? if so what settings?

depends how u ripped and encoded it but 3.11alpha is THE way to go

look on my site for details and guides (nandub 2 pass method)

2 pass method is the way to go for ultimate quality for LOW LOW size (u can fit an entire movie on 1 CD from my guide..check it out)

if u re encode, u will NOT make the quality better, it will either be the same or most likely it will be worse.

Reencoding will always result in a loss of quality. Hence if you are looking at maintaining the same quality (there is no way you can improve quality), keep the file as it is.
