    DUDE.. you say you captured a 50gig .avi file.. I was wondering how you did this since Fat32 (filesystem) only allows for 4gig (1file) sections..

    So if you acutually did caputre a 50gig (1file) avi then you must be running a different filesystem.. and NTFS doesnt support that high either.. I know I tried.. so if you possible could tell me how your computer is able to do that I would like to give it a try..

    I think what he meant was that he appended files in one file to make 50GB. You can do this (and it works for some reason in FAT32) NTFS is unlimited file size

      yeah. the capture card I am using only alows me to capture in the pinnacle dvd codec, and not compress in real time. So I captured a 4 hour video in side preimere on win2000. Win2000 allows u to capture up to any file size as longs as u format the hard drive as a "ntfs" file system. I've finally managed to bring it down to 750mgs @ 512 x 384. Exactly what I wanted!
