Help with TMPGenc and .avi files

I have been trying lately to convert .avi DVD rips to vcd format so I can burn them. To do this I have been using TMPGenc. It seems lately when I try to convert the avi file it says that it cannot open or unsupported. What can I do. I have all these great films and no way to burn them to VCD

Did you also download and install the plugin that comes with TMPGEnc.

Maybe another option is to get the latest version 2.50

Can you open the avi in Virt.Dub

What is the property of the sound of that avi.
What you can do is seperate the audio and the video and see which one gives the warning

I'm just rambling on, maybe some of it is of any use

Try setting the AVI VFW to priority 1 in the environment settings.
