    help needed with players crashing

i downloaded "the matrix reloaded" (DIAMOND release) but it won't open in any player! every player i've tried crashes (mplayer, bsplayer, divx-player alpha, kazaa's player and viplay).
i have all the codecs necessary already installed and, yes, i've tried to uninstall them and rebooting and then install the codecs i need from the same bundle.

i've sent the sample clip to everyone i know, and they could all play it!
could it be something windows related? i run win 2k

    PLEASE help me!

    1. Load up the AVI file into GSpot and post a screenshot of the information displayed here.

    Alternatively:
    1. Open the file in Virtualdub
    2. Go to File -> File Information
    3. Post what information you see here

Could also be a corrupted header causing the player to crash.

You can use an avi repairer (Cant remember what its called..)

      Hi Enchanter

        Hi Enchanter
Thats DivxFix or DivFix, I believe.

And jad3rmark, try the players "Media Player Classic", "Zoom Player", and just for the sake of it, "Power DVD 5".

These are the only ones I have on my system, and with this combo I can play anything using any codec.
