    Audio conversion

Ive got a Divx, Enemy Of The State. Its 1,9Gb. I think its because of the audio codec used in it, its got 5 channels (5.1?). Is there a way i can convert/compress this audio to the standard compression thats normally used? Just normal 2 channels anyway. I think that would save quite a lot on the filesize.

Ps: im relatively new to the divx scene, so spare me

It is true that if u use AC-3 sound your filesize gets a little bigger but I am using AC-3 sound in my Divx and I get reasonable Filesizes at about 1.37 GB. (2 CD's). If u use MP3 compression(128KB at least to get decent sound) u would lower the filesize
at about 200-300 MB but that's it.

1 min of MP3 Sound is about 1MB
1 min of AC-3 Sound is 3.5-4.5 MB

I would say lower the video quality and use AC-3 sound instead
but if u want u could download an MP3 Codec and compress your sound
