    Xmpeg encoding stops at 50005 frame, why?

    Dear All!

    Here is the problem:

    I am using Xmpeg 5.0 and whenever I am encoding a movie from DVD into DivX (using ver. 5.0.5 of DivX) the Xmpeg stops at 50005 frame. I have tried 3 different movies and Xmpeg encoding always hangs at 50005 frame. No error message is occuring, Xmpeg just stops the encoding.

    When I tried different codec (XviD 4.0), the encoding process stopped at 50000 frame (not 50005 as with DivX).

    Why does it happen? Can anybody help me, plz???

    I am using Windows XP Professional and my hardware is as follows:
    Pentium IV 2.4 GHz (No HT)
    nVidia GeForce 4 Ti4200
    RAM 512 333
    HD Barracuda 80GB (20 MB free disk space)

      To TGrab

      Sounds like the oft' mentioned, infamous Creative Labs soundcard's .MP3 codec at work again.

      1) If you don't already have another (besides the Creative one) .MP3 codec installed on your system, download and install the Radium (Fraunhoefer hack) .MP3 codec

      2) In your Control Panel, select "Multimedia" and deactivate all .MP3 codecs EXCEPT the one that includes the word "Professional"

      3) Reboot your system

      Let us know of your success ;>}

        Thank you very much!

        Thanks setarip for your advise. After I used Fraunhoefer MP3 codec instead of Creative one everything works perfectly. I didn't even have to deactivate Creative codec from my system, it was enough to change it to Frauenhofen before encoding.

        I am really, really thankfull for your help!
