    XMPEG stripping audio?

I've been playing with XMPEG 4.2a with DIVX 4.11 for a few weeks now but I've just run into a problem I can't figure out. I can encode a few VOB files and everything works fine but if I try to encode the entire movie, I don't get any audio. Any ideas?

pls for the sake of yoiur avi DO NOT LET xmpeg take care of audio extraction/or even worse encoding!

handle the extraction of your audio stream separetely!

the best routines for audio are graphedit-filters
graphedit, however is hard to handle.
VOB2AUDIO is sort of a gui, that uses graphedit filters and thus is easy to handle and gives you the best possible quality at the same time!

vob2audio and its usage is part of my guide.
if you want to know more about it, take a look at my page.

when you have your final (mp3 in most cases) audio stream, multiplex (mux) audio + video with virtualdub.
that, too, can be found on my page.

    good luck.
