    Darker?

    Hi,
    I was wandering when you encode 2 divx The display seems to get darker? Sometimes on dark movies i.e horror
    I find it really hard to see the screen is there a way to encode without loosing to much brightness?.

    Thanks

    Karl

    hmm never happend to me what tool ur using and what divx codec version?

    i find divx pro 5.1 with virtual dub / or dr divx with anything rounding 2000 kbps gives me quite nice quality.
    Seems like as soon you buy somehing, v. 2 comes out 1.5 times as fast!..!

        try with higher encoding rate to check if darkness still present.

          it may simply be that this is the discrepance between
          the value of Yv12 and YUV2 overlay......

          if possible increase overlay value
          or when using an ati card to display
          just increase the overlayvalue with the slider in
          ati --->settings-adv options---> color--> overlay

          there must be similar for nvidia!!
