2 pass died on me

Hi,
after becoming a BIG Xvid encoding fan (Fast, simple and hi quality!) I suddenly find that I can't use 2 pass encoding on virtualdub. It gives me "unknown error (may be corrupt data. error code 100) and crashes

used d2v then avisynth frameserving and then virtualdub (which crashed)

AVIUtil seems to work (I didn't run it through a whole session yet)

what to do?

At which stage did you encounter the error? You might have some luck reinstalling the XviD codec too.

thanks for the attention...
the error came as soon as i started encoding...
i reinstalled the xvid codec, even trying alternating builds.
still nothing
