    total file size NTSC

I want to encode in Xvid but in GK it display the total file size bigger than the .vob file itself (484 instead of 427 MB)
The source is NTSC (DVDAVI display that it is interlaced,29,970 frame rate) I select mp3 file 128 kbs instead of ac3 i also run compressibility check
(i set it on 100% cause i want prefect quality) and i use GK 0.28.6.2, xvid
    XviD-04102002-1 _ALPHA_ Release koeipi
I dont have the same problem with pal source so what happened?Am I wrong with using 100% at Comptest?

"i set it on 100% cause i want prefect quality"

Try the more space-efficient (and surprisingly close quality) two-pass mode instead.

two passes mode? u mean encoding into 2 passes? if it is that that is what i do i use compchek then i encode into 2 passes but with my ntsc vob GK shows me that the file size after encoding is larger than the original file.

"file size after encoding is larger than the original file"

        That is impossible.

Perhaps you should check that the XviD codec has indeed been installed in your system. I noticed that you are using an old version of the XviD codec too, so you might want to upgrade to the latest version of the codec as well (Unstable Builds).

        Regards.
