no output file created when divx/xvid encoding

I've been trying to create an Xvid file using Neodivx and FlaskMpeg... the encoding process seems to start running okay & i leave it going overnight, but an output file is never produced.

However if i test my codec settings using a short sample of the movie (using neocutter in neodivx) the clip encodes fine.

With Xvid i'm using 2 pass encoding specifying a target file size of 1.2Gb, as i want good quality. Any ideas about what is happening ? Also i've got plenty of free hard drive space so thats' not the problem.

    easy solution to this problem.

    Ditch Flask.

    Get either GordianKnot or DVX.

Both are excellent all in one packages.

    and well, they work.

Well, DVX is surely better (and with UncasMS's guides it's also easy to use), anyway:

using Flask, did you select "Dual Pass Encoding" on the main options window?
Maybe you did only the 1st pass...

      Working...
