Converting over a network....
Will it work to encode files on my laptop harddrive using GK on my desktop system? I will save the finished DivX files back to the laptop as well. My desktop has a little more power than my lappy. Thanx

just mount your laptop's working directory (*) as a drive on your desktop system (say letter R). Then follow GK instructions using r:\ as a local disk.
(*) where you want to put files to encode.
