    Question about .Avi to dvd's

I recently downloaded the program "TMPGEnc" and installed it with ease. But, the problem I get now is when I get to the select source file screen and go to load my avi file it says it can not be opened, or is unsupported.

What do I do. I'm trying to take my avi files and burn them onto dvd disk to watch in my dvd player.

    Thanks in advance

    1) Load the original video file into VirtualDub (or one of its many variants) or NanDub

    2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

    3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (BOTH video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box
