Help with Avi file on Divx

Im a bit of a noob and Im frustrated because I have downloaded Finding Nemo which is an Avi and Im trying to play it on Divx but only 5 seconds of the start plays and then it ends completly when there is 40 minutes of it left. Ive downloaded codecs and it hasnt helped. Ive tried ffdshow and it doesnt help. I also tried GSpot and one of the boxes says 'bad chunk in frame data'. I dont know what that means but could someone please help me as Im trying to get it to work for my nephew. Much Appreciated
