audio sync 111 to 112 kbps problem

I have several divxs files that would not sound on my Best Buy DV!. I tried to recompress the mp3 audio, which original bitrate was 111 kbps 44100 hz with Virtual Dub Mode but my Fraunhofer MP3 codec only permits 112 kbps The result is a file that actually works with my DV! but it has a sync problem between audio and video. Any suggestions?

In Virtual Dub, Try the following:

1. Open you AVI

2. Choose "Video" > "Framerate"

3. Then choose "Change so Video and Audio durations match" Click OK

4. Go back to "File" and "Save as AVI" (F7 key)

This is a quickie method, but it's worth a shot.

Also, I forgot a step

4. Choose "Video" > "Compression" and select the divx codec of your choice

5. Go back to "File" and "Save as AVI" (F7 key)
