DIVX Avi to VCD with TMPGENC probs

Trying to import an AVI file (DIVX) into TMPGenc, but get errors of file being unsupported etc

Is there a way of getting TMPGenc to accept this file for encoding to VCD or do I have to do something else first

    Many thanks

    Open Tmpgenc click
    option
    environmental setting
    vfapi plug-in
raise the priority of "directshow multimedia file reader" to 2. This is what worked for me.

      1) Load the original .AVI video file into VirtualDub (or one of its many variants) or NanDub

      2) From the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

      3) Post (here) EVERYTHING you see (BOTH video and audio information), or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box

        Thanks

        Sorted it

        I needed the XVID codec

It threw me that avi can be xvid divx etc

        Thanks for your time
