Any Filter Or Not???

Just wondering whether ir mattered what filter you used on pass 1, i always use the bicubic filter and wondered, would it mess up my encode if i used a quicker filter like bilinear for the first pass, or do i have to have matching filters to do my encode, thanks.

doesnt make a difference for xvid afaik

with divx, however, you should never use different settings in 1 and 2 pass

i prefer lanczos btw
