    Video and Audio encoded apart

I decided to try and rip my first DVD and put it into Divx format.
Well, it went fairly well, and I got a good looking AVI. But wait, where's my sound? Oh, its in an MP3 file in the same directory. Any ideas on how to join the two? I've got the most recent copy of VirtualDub, but its kinda cryptic in its instructions. Are there any people out there who have had this problem? I've got WinXP Pro and all the necesary codec's. Please give me a hand
