encore another problem with .avi filesplitting

I made a nice .avi that I want to split in two parts to make it fit a CD. The problem is that afer the splitting the sound is messed up.

The first part contains some sound, but it is completely out of synch. The second part has no sound at all.

Hm...

The movie was encoded using a variable bitrate for the mp3. Perhaps that is the cause.

Could anyone help me on this ?

Cut with nandub, it was probably nandub that created the file in the first place, right ?.
