    Nandub settings

Do you mind if you Nandub users can share with me your .vcf file or tell me what important settings are important and their recommended values? I've been trying to encode a movie using the methods decribed in Nicky's site, but my movie is always off by 6Mb of what I wanted.

so your final avi is 6mb off?

did you ever make yourself familiar with codecs and how they work?

maybe you could get closer to your desired final filesize, but then why dont you start listing all the settings you actually used.

on how many titles did you try these settings?

As I've said, my settings were set EXACTLY as they have on Nicky's Guide. I'm only trying to compress the size of an avi file to fit on a 80min CD. My DRF is min: 2x, max: 8x. Keyframes quality is min: 4x and max 31x.

well i'd suggest these settings (problem is I DONT DO 1 cd rips!):

        - minimum allowed bitrate for ONE cd rip: ~350
(i go for 1000! on my two cd rips)

        - motion based curve modulation: 25%
        - bitrate redistribution: proportional

        - keyframe quality: min:2; max:4 !

Hi, just some more questions. When I use the built in bitrate calculator for the audio part, do I check the "get data from audio source" or is it better if I put some values in? If so, what are some recommended values? Also under "Motion", I set the "Switch to FM DLL when motion is over" to 200 and "Switch back to LM DLL when motion is under" to 300 as suggested by Nicky. What does this do and is it ok for one CD rip?
