Merged Xvid causes problems

I have recently merged 2 Xvid clips (that are a split from the same movie) into one using AVI JOINER.
I've burnt it on DVD-R and played it back in my MPEG4 player (not a pc player).
Funny things happened :
1. The movie had many freezes
2. Pressing Fast Forward performed SKIP forward

Any Idea why that happend and who's fault is it ?

Try to merge with VirtualDub via append avi...

Btw, Plays the file fine from your HD ???
