    HEY , QUESTION pls ans

    HEy i'm new here and i got a question
    i have a lot of divx movies and stuff but they take up a lot of space
    so is there a way of reducing a divx videos memmory take by (don't no xactly)but reducing the resolution
    coz i v found divx eg for lilke 20 mins ive found it for around 95 mb also and 50 mb also
    SO IS THERE A WAY TO REDUCE THE MB REQUIREMENT BY REDUCING THE RESOLUTION OR SOMETHING IF SO THEN CAN U PLEASE TELL ME THE PROG REQUIRED -WHERE TO DL AND HOW

    You can reduce the file size by lowering the bitrate. Use VirtualDub.

      Just a note. If you look at the episodes, one of which is 50MB and the other 95MB as you say, you're bound to find a noticable quality difference.

      If you're not really bothered by that, converting to small filesizes is the way to go. However, others prefer to keep the quality and would rather use more CDs.

        If the quality is REALLY GOOD then use fast motion bitrate = 6000, it should fit on one CD and use a res of 320*240 it will reduce the size alot and will not lose much quality.

            very true but if the source is REALLY good then it doesn't lose quality. I have tried it and works like a charm. also compressing at the same time!

            Take a look:

            MPEG2 = 72.2MB

            Then use fast motion, see what results you get!
