mpg length question

Does it matter how big the mpg is when you try to burn it onto a cd, or is it like an audio cd, and depends on time?

If you're burning the file as it is (Back-up mode), then the filesize matters. If you're burning it as VCD (Provided it is MPEG-1 compliant), the length of time matters.
