How could I encode DVD (720x480 pixels with 4:3 ratio) to DivX

Hi Experts,

I have some questions regarding the DVD -> DivX encoding.

I plan to convert DVD movie (720x480 pixels with aspect ratio of 4:3) to Divx v4.12 format.

How could I use XMPEG v4.31 to generate DivX output with 720x480 pixels and aspect ration of 4:3? I will appreciate if someone could share me with his/her knowledge.

DivX output with 720x480 pixels and aspect ration of 4:3

The two values contradict each others. You will need to resize the video to 640x480, 512x384, 480x360 and so on. These values conform to aspect ratio 4:3.
