    Italics in subtitle with BSPlayer?

    I have tried and tried and tried, but can't get this to work properly.
    I do know how to get the subtitles in italics - with the {y:i} in front of the line.
    But when I play my movie (*.avi) in BSPlayer ver 0.84 build 450, I can't get the subtitle to show italics.
    This works in Micro DVD Player, but I need it to work with BSPlayer.

    Here is the ini file that I've made for my movie (I've called it bsplayer.bsi):

    [Main]
    NumberCD=1
    CD=1

    [Movie]
    Title=Thirteen Days
    Directory=.
    FName=ThirteenDays.avi
    AudioName1=English

    [Subtitles]
    Directory=.
    Sub1=English|English.sub
    Font=0;Tahoma;20;1;16777215
    FontColor=00FFFFFF
    BackColor=XXXXXXXX
    StartTime=0

    Is there any other way to do this so BSPlayer will show some lines of my subtitle in italics??
    This is very annoying, cause the movie doesn't get as good as it could be with just straight subtitles. I need to have some of the lines in the subtitle to appear as italics.

    Can anyone help??

    Just open in text editor

    I donno what file typ your subs are but mine can be opened inan text editor like notepad and then you could change the text manually and when that doesn't work use subsync. Its a program to edit the subtiltles sync but also the text. when you want to know how to use it just send me an email.

      I do know how to MAKE the subtitles...

      ... it's just that my BSPlayer will not show the lines that are in italics, you know - text like this.

      The subtitle formats I use are .sub and .srt, but none of them will show italics using the BSPlayer.

      So thanks for trying, but your reply told me dick...

          I didn't mean it that way....

          Hi again da plack pantha.

          Sorry that you took it like that, I didn't mean to misbehave, but I just wanted you to know that your answer didn't quite solve my problem

          I've tried Micro DVD, but that software does some lagging and my video doesn't show in a good way. But thanks again for replying.

          Now the problem is fixed. Upgraded to build 481 of BSPlayer, and now everything works. Don't know if it was the upgrade that did the trick, but when things work - why bother finding out why ??

          See ya in a different forum or thread some time
