making the last frame a key frame

How does one force the last frame to be a key frame in a divx 3.11 movie?

What is the use to do this ?
If you want to append another video file after, the first frame of the new file will be a keyframe, so where is the problem ?

I would like to use a divx in a Powerpoint presentation and the final frame is what I would like to leave on once the movie has played through as this is what is used for the presentation. The presentation is to be displayed on a large projector and the artifacts which are displayed are a problem and make the final graphic have a lack of clarity. The divx is set to the highest available bitrate and it is still not good enough.

        OK.
If you use DivX 4.12, you can specify the maximum interval between 2 keyframes (you specify this in frames) : So 25 will be 1s (if your work in PAL).
The only solution in your case is to specify that every frame is a keyframe, using 1 for that interval... So you'll be sure the last one is a keyframe too.

See the attach file for screen copy.

        See you

Compress the last frame seperately as a 1-frame-video. The first frame is always a keyframe and so you will get a video with only one frame which is a keyframe. Append the frame to the rest of the video - that's all.

              ecf creation

you can also make an ecf, by loading your .stats file into gordianknot.
Go to the next tab, and scroll to the lat frame.
              Then click make kf
              Save your ecf
and load that into nandub and do your second pass.
More info about this is on my website somewhere
