    Divx Help

Hi. How can I encode a movie ( fast and the furious, 107min) to fit onto a single cd? I am using Divx 5 pro codec, and flaskmpeg.

I have calculated it out, and 6.5mb a min times 107 will make it fit on a 80min cd.

Can anyone please help me with the settings for flaskmpeg / divx 5 pro codec to achive this?

BTW, I am using 1 pass encoding.

Thanks in advance for the help.

i wouldn't use Flaskmpeg. try Nandub or Smartripper, (or Setarips software do a search).

Secondly, you can cut out the credits, lower the audio bitrate, lower the video bitrate as well. I would experiment with the divx 3.11 alpha codec instead.

Use a 787 kbps bitrate for video
128 kbps, 48000Hz, stereo, MP3 will be fine for audio.

      Resolution : 576x320

BTW you'd better use 2 pass encoding (better quality for same bitrate)

With this, you should get a correct result.

      Need more ?

          Min/Max: 2/8 should do.

            Should read this :
Tells you what the settings for the DivX 5.x codec means, and which one you should enable or disable

            Yeah ?

            You're welcome

because SIR, you can use vidomi to encode to DIVX 3.11alpha too, but does not have 2pass
