Hi there,
I have an AVI file about the size of 700 MB. I loaded the file into VirtualDub and checked the file information to see wether the file had PCM 48Hz sound. It did not. it says 41000.
But, when i convert it to SVCD using TEMPGenc by the tutorial located on vcdhelp.com, the result mpeg is more than 4 GB in size. This particuar problem I haven't had before. In other words I have converted files like this without this problem before.
I am sure I am missing something . . . I also used a bitrate calculator located on vcdhelp.com tutorials, and entered the length of the file 72 min, 2 cd's, the audio bitrate to 192 (the page suggests 192 or 224 for best quality), and got a calculated average bitrate of 2528. This value I entered into the settings in TEMPGenc along with setting the Rate Control Mode to CBR.
Can anyone tell me why I am having this problem along with how I can solve it ?
TIA
sa
