Editing my avi's bitrate, please help!

Ok I got a 16 part movie series ... half is 15hz audio bit rate and the other is 16 hz. Problem is I can't obviously join a set of 15 bit rate and 16 bit rate movies together ... so how can I change them all to 15? or 16? dont care which. I tried using virtual dub, dont understand it at all. Tried using aviedit, dont understand it. I just need a prog to easily change my bit rate! Man been looking for over a month now, please help thanks alot guys.

You should easily be able to do it with Virtualdub or Nandub.
    Do this:
Load your avi file into VD/ND set video to direct stream copy and go to audio-> compression. Under there choose which hz you want on your files and then save as avi (F7). This should work.

Set video to direct stream copy and audio to full processing mode.

It seem that I was a little bit tired or something when I wrote that last thing
You should also set audio to full processing and choose conversion not compression my fault under conversion choose your new hz and then save avi. Now it should work
