    NTSC Interlacing sugestion

    I encode The Legend Of The Fall NTSC Interlacing movie. If i play the divx on my monitor....some black stripe r visible in some scene. If i play the divx on my TV no black stripe.
    Someone have any sugestion for NTSC interlacing encoding with GKnot?

    I believe that you can download the newest version and choose ivtc. But I'm not sure though.

        When you choose to save and encode a creen apperas. Under that screen on one place you can find a little screen that says deinterlacing. Choose ivtc and you will do inverse telecine. Check at www.doom9.org if you want to know more about this.

          The easiest thing to do would be to apply a deinterlacer. Performing Inverse Telecine (IVTC) generally results in better combing artifacts removal (Not wanting to get too technical, it basically removes unnecessary frames that are actually causing the interlacing artifacts to appear), but is a harder task to do. I follow Erci's suggestion of going over to Doom9's site for more information on IVTC.
