I try to convert a mpeg to avi using VirtualDub 1.4.10 but this error pops up "MPEG Import Filter: packet sync error on packet stream [18e1c981]".How do I fix This?
Your original file is undoubtedly in MPEG2 (or MPEG2-SuperVideoCD) format, which VirtualDub cannot handle. VirtualDub will only accept .AVI and MPEG1 formats for direct input.
You could use a program such as Flask (or similar) to convert the file...
