Mpeg2->DivX5 with same filesizes?

Hello,
If I have a 640 MByte mpeg-2 file, is there any advantage in converting it to a 640 MByte DivX5.02 file? Would the quality be the same, better or worse?

No, don't do that, you will only reduce the quality.

You should only reencode to divx, if you are looking for a significant size reduction.
