.asf to .avi problem with VirtualDub

Ok i have VirtualDub 1.3c and i have the MS MPEG-4 VKI Codec installed but every time i try to add any .asf file to virtualdub i get and error.


First i get an ASF validity check warning, saying that the file is so long and that it may be truncated, and to open the file anyway. So i say yes, then my error is a VirtualDub Error that says....

ASFata chunk not found

Any help would be great!

Use screencapture software such as CAMTASIA or SNAG-IT

So theres nothing i can do to fix the error with VirtualDub? I'm wondering because i'm not sure how to use either of those programs to convert from .asf to .avi some sort of link would be sweet.

Ok well i'm off to try and firgure out how to convert with one of the above programs.
