converting divx (large filesize) to divx (low filesize)?

Does anyone know how to convert a divx movie (high quality = high bitrate = large filesize) to a divx movie (low quality = low bitrate = small filesize)? Suppose I have a 2-CD rip divx that I want to convert into a 1-CD rip divx, but I no longer have the vobs nor the ac3. How would I go about doing it? Thanks a lot.
