    skipping video

Does anyone knows why the video skips or slows causing the audio to get out of sync?

    Thanks,
    Vanessa

A great deal more specificity on your part is required, if you can expect to get a meaningful response.

    1) Is this a video that you've created, or one that you've downloaded?

    2) What are the video and audio formats?

    3) What player are you using?

    4) Have you tried more than one player?

    5) Is this a problem regarding ONE specific video, or are you encountering this with ALL videos?

sorry about the lack of information.

I downloaded John Q rip and converted it to VCD. This always happen when I convert videos to vcd. I usually do that using tmpgenc and virtual dub.

When I play it on my computer there're skips here and there but after I burn it most of the video gets out of sync.

I read somwhere that I had to convert the 44800 auidio to 44100 and even after that the video skips.

Before when I hadn't got my Tv out I also tried to convert divx to VCd but I always had this problem to. And I never got it to work=(

Of course I gave up rather easy=) and now I almost never care about doing that at all. though I have tried to convert DVD to SVCD but with lack of results=( I will try some more before I give up this time.
