    64kbps or 128kbps?

What audio is better to use, 64kbps or 128kbps mp3?

And how do I encode ogg audio in vdub?

I personally don't use anything less than 128K, most of the time 192K depending on the size of the video (fitting on disc). Dropping too low makes the audio tinny and hollow.

Personally I use VBR min 64 max 256. It gives me a great audio and doesn't take to much bitrate when speaking... it's great.

For DVD rips...I always use 128...suits me fine

but when I do my capturing and editing, the final result, I use 192KBPS - gives it that extra "woooopphhh...."

That depends on your quality goal, whether you are going for "cramming as much as possible in a disc" (for episodes), "better video quality at the expense of audio quality", etc. Personally, anything below 128kbps annoys me, but if you don't care, 64kbps would give you some extra space to spare.

Download the Ogg encoder from www.vorbis.com and mux the resulting ogg file with the video file using nandub.
