dear group,
i'm quite a newbe at this dvd-divx thing but thanks to nicky's tutorials (+some other articles/tuts/sites i've visited) i managed to rip and convert some movies for testing and for backup reasons.
when following a tutorial at nicky's dealing with subtitles etc. i got that one down too.
with FlaSMpeg i created a nice .avi (mpeg4 low motion) movie, actually a 3 minute test version. and i extracted a subtitle file + converted that one to microdvd format.
here's the problem:
when i play the avi in whatever player it displays just fine and smooth.
when i add the .sub file to the same directory, or create a Mdvd.ini file and try to play the avi again with MicroDVD the movie is flipped!
upside down and horizontally so it seems... with the subtitlesat the bottom (displaying correct), but also on top mirror-flipped upside down..
HUH?
i've read other "upside-down" threads here, but they failed to help me, since the avi is actually correct so it seems, but only ****s up when i add the subtitle file.
thanks for reading + help,
aril
