Tool to detect bad audio ??

    Hello,

This is the second time I am posting this question, as I received no replies the first time

I have a movie which plays perfectly, right up until the final 5 minutes, and then the sound cuts out. I run all my movies through vdub-mp3-freeze to check for bad frames. It always finds the areas where there is corruption in the file, if any. This is the first time I have seen perfect video but the audio suddenly cut out after playing perfectly for 2 hours. I ran the film through virtualdub and Saved to AVI, but it remains the same. I suspect the audio simply got cut off for one reason or another, or the track got corrupted.

Is there a tool which can check for bad audio? Or better yet, a tool which can check for both bad frames and bad audio?

The movie causing me difficulties is encoded with DivX4 video, and MP3 160 KB/s audio.

    Thanks,
    Rooster
