Subtitle problem

When I play DivXs on my computer that have a separate subtile file, I always get 2 layers of subtitles. They are both the same but one is positioned higher and is smaller. How can I get it to play with just one subtitle?

Turn off (Uncheck) "Captions" in your Windows Media Player...
