    Subs are too low on the screen.... why?

    I'm using MDVD 1.2 and a .ini file for displaying my movies.
    When playing the movie, the subtitles are pushed to the bottom (actually beyond) of my TV screen.
    Have never experienced this problem before.

    Here is my .ini file:

    [Micro DVD Ini File]

    [MAIN]
    Title=Eyes Wide Shut
    ID=D128CCF7
    CDNumber=1
    Delay=0

    [MOVIE]
    Directory=.
    AVIName=EWS1.avi
    AVI2Name=EWS2.avi
    CD1Frames=119233
    CD2Frames=109614

    [SUBTITLES]
    Directory=.
    DialogString=
    EstimateDisplayDuration=0
    1=ENG English
    File=EWS(Eng).sub
    Format=0
    Lines=3

    In my subtitle file, I have the following line at the top:

    {DEFAULT}{}{F:Arial}{S:24}{P:1}
    The {P:1} code should place the subtitle in the bottom of the screen. And it does, but I can just see the top of the subtitles text.
    And when the text is in two lines, the bottom line is below my screen.

    The format for the movie is 720x576 (1,33:1). Is this where the problem lies at ?

    Have tried the same thing with a movie that's 720x304, and there's no problem with "lost" subtitle text at this one.

    Have a Matrox G450 graphics card, so I can't get the overlay mode to work properly. I guess this whould solve my problem.

    I'm also using BSPlayer (most of the times), and everything works great. But I really need this to work with MDVD as well.

    Does anyone out there have any suggestions on how to solve this???

    It has nothing to do with your INI file, it's the player itself. When you have started MicroDVD player press the options button and choose "subtitles" and then "Options Page 2" there is a small box with the label "Minimum distance between the subtitles and upper/lower screen edge" Just increase this until the subtitles are in the correct place.
