    Please help: OGG Vorbis Bugs

I have recently downloaded three video files that have been encoded with the OGG Vorbis codec(.ogm and avi extensions). I have divx, xvid and ogg codecs installed with the normal windows codecs and i'm running XP.
when i play the files in WMP 8 or 9 the video shakes violently and the audio is out of sync, in BSPlayer the audio is also badly out of sync and the video pauses and stops for a period of 10 seconds and then eventually crashes. can anybody help me , any suggestions or comments on this matter are greatly appreciated.
this problem has been giving me major headaches and i can't find anyone to help me...
    thanks.

Can you post the file information for the problematic file?

Do you have problems with xvid encoded files? or just files that have ogg vorbis audio compression and/or the *.ogm extension.
