help me Archer or someone with divx

    please, i need your help...

hi, i need help with divx. I´ve WIN98 SECOND EDITION. I installed the VOULEZ VOUS (codec 3.22) and then the DIVXCODEC505 and the DIVXCODEC505pro...
For watch movies, i used the RADLIGHT and MEDIAPLAYER 6.5 for win98.
But I can see 100% divx recorded from dvd with subtitles inside or not(this kind of movies has 600kb aproximately), but i can´t see the downloaded movies (not from record dvd) (with 710kb) with subtitles (out of file)... These kind of movies doesn´t work well, is slow and the voice comes later, the subtitle is late, etc...
How can i watch all divx movies, ALL of them without problems of this type?
Could you tell me the correct order to install codecs, step by step please?
    Thank you.
    Kisses for you people.

    My PC configuration

First of all, your system is underpowerd for divx/xvid/mpeg-4 playback. Purchasing a decent graphics card and/or additional ram may be quite helpful.

You can attempt to reduce these problems by doing the following:
    -Use BSPLAYER
-reduce colour to 16 bit, desktop area to 640x480
-remove all codecs/codec packs. Instead, download and use ffdshow for divx/xvid playback
    -turn off any postprocessing

Some movies need mor cpu-power than others. Normally 500-700MHz should be enough, but if the system is overloaded with drivers and background-progs, even 1GHz is not enough. Clean up your system (close all programms etc.) and deactivate all quality-enhancements in the codec-settings.
Maybe you can play the video on an other pc first to find out if it runs there.
      don't trust in guides

yeah! There is no need for those crap. just install one codec (divx5) or decoder FFDSHOW(if you want only watch).
In divx 5 was fixed bug of AMD K6

Almost forgot, you can post replay to topic without new thread
