Has anybody used other values than 16:9 or 4:3 for "aspect=" in the bsi/ini-file of BSplayer?
I encoded some movies (pal-dvd with 720x576) in 512x576 which give a very nice quality when stretched to 1024x576 and don't loose as much quality when resizing as if resizing to 640x...! That movies work perfect with "aspect=16:9" and a desktop-resolution of 1024x768 and looks better because the width is resized by factor 2 and the hight is not resized at all. The problem comes up if i cut off the black borders at the top and bottom so the movie will have a res like 512x432 that schould be stretched to 1024x432. With "aspect=16:9" the movie will be stretched to 1024x576 which will cause "eggheads". "aspect=1024:432" or "aspect=2.37" don't work, and I don't like to use "aspect=7:3" or something like that because it would resize to 1024x438 and ruin the effect of not resizing the hight. Is there any way of solving that problem?
