Standard procedure for multimedia DivX?

Hi, although i have been using divx for quite some time I am new to this forum. I would like to ask you if there is a standard procedure or way to create menus for divx movies. I would like to make an autorun cd with the capability to install the codec if it is not present + the audiofilters for ac3 for example, have a main menu screen with active buttons, scene selection etc. The problem is that i have found and read too many guides, articles, tutorials but every guide describes a different procedure. Is there a more popular method, kind of a standard for that? I would appreciate a helpful reply! thank you very much.
