    Ebay's new user agreement stinks!!!

    Unbelievable!

Now eBay is enforcing a "reimbursement policy" starting Sept. 29.

Read over the user agreement - Basically sellers are held captive by these ridiculous policy changes. I am about to put a halt to all my eBay sales, as they are getting out of hand with their over the top demands they are placing on sellers.

It only hurts the honest ones...

This User Agreement is effective upon acceptance for new users, and from July 26, 2024 for existing users. The previous amendment to this User Agreement was effective for all users on October 28, 2023.

    katzdvd,
I occassionally sell on eBay. Specifically, what are you referring to? I went to your link, but nothing jumped out in all the info there. Thanks.

Ebay sends out policy change emails to sellers how do a regular buss. on ebay. One thing in particular is the "buyer can send back" clause; If the buyer "thinks" the item has been misrepresented in any way, or basically otherwise doesn't like his/her purchase, he/she can send the item back to the seller - AT THE SELLERS' EXPENSE.

That is just one of the absurd policy changes...

This is why I quit selling on eBay ages ago. They keep on bringing out new policy rules that hit sellers. Enough was enough when I found out people selling DVD's and video games for the PC and for any console have to pay the postage and packaging. Normally the buyers should pay for that, not the sellers. It costs £1.80 to mail a one-disc DVD or PC game and most of the time they make less than £1.80 in a sale. How does the seller make his/her money? He/she doesn't, what they make with a sale like that goes towards shipping and the seller feels as if he/she gave the item away. Why is that pathetic policy only hitting DVD's and video games? I went to Amazon and I make more money and the buyers pay the postage and packaging.

Well that is their policy. We can do nothing about it.
