Help with DVDR

I have ripped several movies from DVD to my hard drive and converted them to mpegs but when I burn them onto blank DVDs using my Pioneer DVR-104 with Nero the files play fine from the burner but when I put the DVD I have recorded in any one elses computer DVD drive it wont even recognise the disk. What should I do to make it possible for the DVDs I have recorded to be accessed from a standard computer DVD drive. Any help would be greatfuly received

Some DVD-ROM drives cannot read DVD-R. Maybe a firmware upgrade of the drive might solve this?

You can use Divx Pro 5.0.2 as codec which you can download free at http://www.divx.com , also download Divx Player at http://www.divx.com to play back Divx movies or PowerDVD downloading at internet . u can try WINRAR to rip it to your DVDR or DVDRW .

Member "dvdhackmaster" has been suspended for one month. The reason for the suspension is pretty obvious, suffice to say this isn't the first complaint about "dvdhackmaster's" behaviour on this board, and he has been warned by other members numerous times.

It's bad enough "dvdhackmaster" posts the same message advertising ***********.com everywhere, but it is another thing when these are being posted in totally unrelated forums/posts. Even dearlilie (for those that remember) wasn't that bad - at least he posted in semi-related forums/posts, and yet, he still had "his ass" banned, his IP address blocked and the software he was advertising removed from DVD Digest.

I also have a Pioneer DVR-104 and Nero. You may want to try burning only the big VOB files to the DVD-R. I did this & found that PowerDVD had no problems playing them back in "file" mode, so should work on any PC.
