    Making your own DVD Menu

I can't find good software to make a decent DVD Main Menu

The only thing that allows Main Menu's is Cyberlink PowerDirector 2 Pro. But that's n00b-stuff (crappy templates etc.).

I need a professional tool which allow me to create a DVD Main Menu like making pic's with Photoshop.

    Plz help me.

DvdIt does make good menus but the software does suck like crazy.

        spruce up

Spruce up is okay, but its pretty basic in its menues, dvd it has the best menues but ulead has the best functionality, so what do you want good menus and messed up dvds or okay menus and great dvds?

I am using Ulead DVD Movie Factory for DVD authoring. It has only basic funtions but it is good enough for me. Besides, it is cheap; and it is able to recognize mpg files created by my ATI All-in-Wonder video card.

I do not think so (because of the copy protection). But if you want to copy from DVD, why don't you rip it straight from DVD-ROM to hard drive, and burn it back?

if you use a capture card

Its a two step process, capture then burn, do dvd devcrypter errors no MPAA on your ass no way to stop it. Also you dont have to stop at the 2 hour mark you can lower your bit rate by like 500k persec (which the human eye cant detect) then you can put like 3 to 4 hours of high quality video on there the only thing that you lose are like menues and stuff like taht but who really cares?

I have used Pinnacle's "Expression" (part of their Instant CD/DVD product.) There are a lot of choices and flexibility in the menu creation feature.

                        What's wrong with DVDlab?
It has maximum potential as far as menu's go and also has templates if you so wish to use. Takes literally minutes to build a decent menu and is very easy to link each part of the menu and movies.
Far easier than any other I've tried.

                          To kodriscoll and ashy

Do you realize that you are responding to posts that are over a year old?

I just looked at the date of the last post before mine which was quite recent and not the others.

Thanks for the tip setarip. What a wally huh?
