Can I remove the unwanted audio tracks

Ok new here, so work w/ me please.

I just backed-up Shrek, using the fist title only. The size is 5.64 GBs, which is to big to fit on DVD. Is there anyway to remove all the audio tracks minus just one, and of course keep the video track? I'm hoping that will bring it down to size. Even if that doesn't work for the current movie, how do I do that? I got it to work using smart ripper, the vob's went from .99 gb to 700 gb, and I had it under 4.5 gb, but I kept gettting a error message when I tried to burn. I have posted a topic already about the burn issue that's driving me crazy. I used Cladxp this time, but it didn't remove the other audio tracks.

Does that actually removed unwanted audio tracks from the vob's? I thought that program was only for ifo and bup files. I opend a vob, and am fooing around w/ it, but i don't see where I can remove different tracks, but I will continue to experiment. BTW there are two options for strip stream, one under VOB Extras, and one under Movies. Does it matter?

With IfoEdit, open the VTS_01_0.IFO file in your DVD directory.

From the 'VOB Extras' menu select 'Strip Streams'.

Make sure to set a destination directory in the dialog for the new VOB files.

When you hit OK you will get a list of streams. Check the box next to the audio track you want, and leave the rest of the audio tracks unchecked. There will also be some non-audio streams you probably want to keep as well as some subtitle streams you may want to strip. This will write new VOBs in the destination directory, and I think create new VTS_01_0.* files. If it doesn't create new VIDEO_TS.* files just copy the old ones over to the destination directory. Now play the files in the destination directory with PowerDVD to see if they work.

It's necessary to modify all sorts of pointers in the VIDEO_TS.IFO file after stripping streams, so after you copy that file from the original rip directory, you need to "Get VTS Sectors" and save the updated IFO files into the directory of stripped VOB's.

By the way, Modify_inc, I've done what you are trying to do and it hasn't yet worked for me to put the resulting burned disc in my Apex stand-alone player. The player will recognize that it's a DVD, of course, but will not play the disc. I know that the media I'm using are good, and the discs will play in PC's using PowerDVD.

I've since started using DVD Maestro to author discs that work perfectly in my Apex player. That software will allow you to create Chapter points and menus, if you want to be able to navigate. I've only done the Chapter points, and set First Play to the 1st chapter and the disc starts automatically, minus the space-hogging menus, logos and FBI warning.

I would highly recommend buying a single DVD-RW, burning the VOB and IFO files that result from whatever process you decide on using and then testing your stand-alone player, so that you don't waste $5 on a DVD-R that only works in a PC. If the DVD-RW works in your stand-alone player, then you can permanently burn a DVD-R.

Also, write down what you do on each step, so that when you hit upon the right combination that produces a working DVD-R, you can reproduce it easily.

Just follow Ebina instruction and it should work. that's how I do mine. One nice thing about it is that I don't have to look at the FBI warning. Pop the movie in and it played.

Has anybody succesfully backed up Shrek.
I ripped with dvddecrypter and used ifoedit to take out unwanted chapters and audio and the file is still too big.

PLease Help

I realy want this movie without any loss of quality.
