can i make copys of my dvds without having a dvd writer
I have a cd writter
does anyone have an idiots guide, if i can do it?

No, you can't. But if you want to create compressed version of the movies that CAN be burned to CD-Rs, click on the "DivX Digest" link at the top of this page and read some of the excellent tutorials...

dvd2svcd is a good program, it will shrink ur movie and then i can be burned to however many discs u want, depending on the quality
