do u have to use all the audio channels, or can you use just the english 6 ch audio
you can use just the english audio if you want but i thought the point of this method was to get a copy as close to the original as possible.

    10) I ran ifoupdate, selected original movie IFO from the folder DVDdecryptor made, and selected the authored IFO from the folder Maestro had made. I clicked 'IFO UPDATE', and then get vts sectors i am a bit stuck at this point
after this just burn videots folder that dvddecrypytor gave you to dvd

Ome more info on IFO Update and steps

Could not figure out which IFO file to select in the DVDDecrypter Folder or the one IFO Edit made, Is IFO Edit and IFO Update the same? I've looked for the IFO Update and no luck, does anyone have a link?

Now I did open IFO Edit up and follow the steps but could not fine update IFO in the software? I really like this way of making backups, feel I almost got it down just confused alittle on these questions, Thank-you JR...

No mate ifoedit and ifoupdate are different programs
as for which ifo to choose go for the one that makes up the main movie ie VTS_01_0.IFO or VTS_02_0.IFO etc

check out h**p://www.doom9.org for ifo update

          why wouldn't you use ifoedit???

          why wouldn't you
          1. Smartripper to pull movie to hard drive
          2. ifoedit to split to dvd-r
          3. get vts sectors?

If I understand "ifoedit to split to DVD-R" this would make a 2 disc set which is what we are trying to avoid due to cost and inconvenience.

              Hey guys,
If you want to make a backup of a dvd to watch on a PS2 or your DVD player, and dont mind not watching all the crap that comes along with the DVD, but you want to keep theAC3 or DTS sound, see My DVD Guide, below.

TheCloner : It's fine to recommend your guide to people, but it isn't okay if this is all do you in every post you make - this is considered spamming. Considering your guides are not entirely free (donations are required to unlock the pictures in the guide, which are sometimes essential to following the guide), this is even worse (spamming for commercial gain).

                  Consider this your last warning.

Yes, and just re-registering under a different name isnt going to help you when you advertise the same bloody site! I believe you've already had your 'last warning' - LAST YEAR.
Now get a life and go advertise somewhere else. You are not welcome on this forum - nor any other from what I've seen! (ie. Doom9).

Good question, when a movie is quite long ie over 2 and a 1/2 hours then i would encode with cinemacraft with 3 or more passes

Frankly i think rempeg's crap at what it does! it takes forever and the point of this guide is to get as near as is possible an exact copy, rempeg needs a complete overhaul and then it may be a more viable option but for now i will stick with CCE
